Collecting general information

Whenever you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically recorded. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet Service Provider and the like. This only involves information which does not allow any conclusions to be reached about your person. This information is technically necessary to deliver correctly the contents of web pages requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us, in order to optimise our Internet presence and the technology behind it.

Legal basis and legitimate interest: The processing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO  is based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

Duration of storage: The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose of collection. The data will be deleted after a maximum of 3 months.

Provision of the data: The provision of the above-mentioned personal data is not required by law or contract. Without the IP address, however, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed.

Newsletter

When you sign up to receive our newsletter, the data which you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be notified of circumstances relevant to the service or registration by email (for example, changes to the newsletter offer or technical conditions). For an effective registration we need a valid email address. In order to verify that an application is actually made by the owner of an email address, we use the “double-opt-in” procedure. For this purpose we log the order of the newsletter, the dispatch of a confirmation email and the receipt of the requested answer. Further data is not collected. The data is used exclusively for distribution of the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties. The consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for the distribution of the newsletter may be revoked at any time. Each newsletter contains a corresponding link. You can also unsubscribe on this website at any time, or provide us with your request via the contact details listed at the end of this document. Data will only be processed in this context as long as the corresponding consent has been obtained. Afterwards they will be deleted. The provision of your personal data is voluntary, solely based on your consent. Unfortunately, we cannot send you our newsletter without existing consent.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent in each case, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO (EU data protection basic regulation).

Contact form

If you contact us by email or a contact form, the data which you provide will be stored for 6 months the purpose of processing the request and for any possible follow-up questions. The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, we can only process your request if you provide us with your name, your e-mail address and the reason for the request. The data entered in the contact form is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO) and with regard to the initiation, implementation or termination of a contractual relationship (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO).

Use Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the agreement across the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and Internet usage to the website operator. The IP address provided by Google Analytics within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data provided by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full. You may also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, and the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

Link: Browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics

In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking on this link. As a result an opt-out cookie will be installed on your device. This will prevent any recording by Google Analytics for this website and for this browser in the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. The feature is designed to present interest-related advertisements to website visitors within the Google Network. A so-called “cookie” is stored in the browser of the website visitor, which makes it possible to recognise the visitor when he visits the web pages belonging to the advertising network of Google. On these pages, visitors may be presented with advertisements related to content which the visitor previously viewed on web pages using Google’s remarketing feature.
According to its own information Google claims that it does not collect any personal information during this process. However, if you do not wish to use Google Remarketing, you can opt out by adjusting the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising through the Network Initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
