With the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO), which came into force for all European countries, as a unified law in data protection, on May 25, 2018, many new features have been added to affected companies. Among other things, the conclusion of a data processing contract (AV-contract), which must be signed by any company that processes personal data on behalf – ie by a service provider. Under the old terminology of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the document was known as a data processing contract or ADV contract.
